For all of human history, trust ran on presence. You believed the face in front of you and the voice on the line because they were physically there — and presence could not be faked at scale. Presence was the proof of identity; the two were inseparable.
The digital economy pulled them apart. For the first time, an identity could be asserted without a body behind it, and a device could be present without a human. But our systems never adjusted — they still treat a verified identity as if it were a present human. So when fraud rises, the reflex is to collect and store more identity. Each new store becomes a target; the stolen data becomes the raw material for the next impersonation. The cycle feeds itself.
AI severed the last thread — and it did it by collapsing the cost. The signals we read as identity — a face, a voice, a document — can now be manufactured at industrial scale, in real time, for almost nothing. Forging a human once took skill, a studio and time; today it takes a few dollars and a few minutes, and it can be repeated without limit. Fraud stopped being a craft and became a commodity — and commodities scale. Every defense built on the assumption that forgery is hard, rare or costly is now obsolete. More than half of all internet traffic is already automated, not human.1
The one thing that has not gotten cheaper is a real human being, physically present, at a real moment. That cost cannot be driven to zero — it is a fact of the physical world, not a file that can be copied. Amplivy's premise is simple: stop inferring a present human from more identity. Verify presence directly — the anchor trust always rested on.

Origins
Amplivy is emerging from stealth. Since 2017 — before generative AI, before the deepfake era — we have been quietly building the foundational patent estate of Deterministic Verification: infrastructure that proves, as a physical fact, that a real human is present and in control at the moment a digital event happens.
The work began with a deceptively simple question in advertising — could anyone confirm that a specific, real person actually saw a given message? Answering it required proving presence deterministically. That same architecture is now what the digital economy needs to function in the AI era.
The problem.
Existing trust layers score a probability that a person is who they claim — documents, faces, voices, video. AI has made that probability unreliable at scale.
The shift.
Deterministic Verification confirms a physical fact instead: a real human present, now, in voluntary control. It sits below identity, not against it — additive to every identity layer.
